About Jessica Baker
Hello, I am Jessica and I am a renowned and successful leader and consultant of Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) based in Devon.
I have been a PE teacher for over 12 years and have held various roles in middle leadership as a Head of Year and Director of Pupil Premium initiatives to senior leadership roles as a SENDCo, Designated Teacher for Children in Care and Young Carer Champion.
Most recently, I have directed a SEND strategy across a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) of 16 primary and secondary schools and attend the South West Regional Network meetings for NASEN.

Working across early years, primary and secondary education in mainstream, independent and specialist sectors, I support; colleagues, teachers, leaders, governors, trustees, SENDCo’s, Headteachers and CEO’s of MATs to raise the profile of SEND, improve the efficacy and impact of their SEND provision to improve the outcomes for all learners.
I have high expectations of professionals in Education, Health and Social care. Through offering my services, I advocate that all leaders, are leaders of SEND, all teachers, are teachers of SEND and social workers and healthcare professionals should also have an educated understanding of SEND to holistically support children and young people in their care.
More recently, I have started to support Alternative Provisions to develop their knowledge and understanding of the National and Local picture of SEND, the challenges that learners are facing to access education and support colleagues to meet their needs in alternative environments.

My mission of creating Jessica Baker SEND Consultancy is to offer solution focussed services to professionals, parents and carers and children and young people to support them get the best out of their educational journey and beyond.
